Our Solution: |
Nauticos Investment Advisors created an investment plan that allowed the
clients' portfolio to grow significantly above the rate of inflation but with
limits on the exposure to stocks. Constantly evaluating the attractiveness of stocks vs. bonds vs. other
investments based on market conditions has allowed the clients peace of mind
knowing that their retirement savings are not dominated by the ups and downs of
the stock market. |
Our Solution: |
Together, we created a projection to determine how much the clients
would likely need to save to fund their college and retirement goals. During this process we looked at current
college choices and estimates of future college costs as well as the expected
need for retirement. We factored in
inflation, lifestyle, social security and other impacts such as the sale of
other investments (real estate., businesses, etc…). Some of the important planning items we
considered were tax savings, flexibility and the ability to tap the savings in
an emergency. Finally we crafted and
implemented an investment plan that used several tax-advantaged accounts to
allow our clients’ investments to grow as efficiently as possible. |

Our Solution: |
We crafted a plan that allowed our clients to immediately start funding
IRAs for themselves and at the same time put in place a 401(k) retirement plan
for their business. A flexible, low-cost
401(k) plan is great for small businesses because it allows them to defer a
significant portion of their income. This can lower both their business and personal income taxes while
allowing them to aggressively contribute savings to a tax-advantaged plan for
retirement. At the same time, a 401(k)
plan can make it easier to attract and retain employees with a minimum of
administrative burden. |
Our Solution: |
Working with estate planning lawyers and accountants, we created a plan to reduce taxes today while also minimizing the taxes the clients might pay later in life and upon the passing of their estate. We analyzed the financial implications of various estate planning structures and evaluated the conversion of their substantial Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. Their detailed investment plan including tax-efficient investments, interests in Master Limited Partnerships and the receipt of substantial dividend payments while taking firm advantage of market opportunities. Nauticos Investment Advisors constantly manages clients' liquid assets to fund other business investments and cash flow needs as they arise. |

Nauticos Investment Advisors created an investment plan to tax-efficiently
manage the growth and inheritance of their portfolio to their heirs. In building an effective plan we took into
consideration federal gift-giving regulations, tax-advantaged accounts for
college tuition and retirement accounts with favorable estate-planning
characteristics. Given the longer-term
horizon of the heirs we continue to manage the portfolio for substantial growth
